Word Surprising News (9:30-10:24 YTV)
Comedian Shofukutei Tsurube and TV personality Masahiro Nakai go on a luxury bus tour, but things take an unexpected turn when several heavyweight passengers join them. At their destination, they participate in a calorie calculation game and other fun.

Science Variety (8:00-8:45 NHK)
For the 10th successive year apples have been Japan’s best selling fruit. Hints are provided on how to spot the most delicious apples in shops and the fruit’s mysterious health benefits are examined.
