Riding the North coast

I’ve been reliably informed that the Chubu region of Japan is home to lots and lots of mountains, some snow and, up in the corner, some cliffs famous for being the prime location for despondent high-school students who have failed entrance examinations to throw themselves off. This is where I am heading this weekend. This is also the week of high-school entrance exams. Full gory details on Tuesday.

The cliff notes (hur hur) version: Kobe, Fukui, Tojimbo, Kanazawa, Hakuba, Nagano, Nagoya, Kobe.
