Derek Kim (Same Difference, 10 Commandments) has a new weekly serial up called Healing Hands and I think I’m already addicted. Back in the day I was hooked on Same Difference. Stupidly so. I can remember being at Uni late one night trying to finish some assignment that was due the following day then thinking, “hey, I haven’t read SD today” before walking up four stories of stairs from the basement editing lab to the internet lab just to read that days’ installment, then promptly wandering back down to continue my work. If you haven’t read through SD before, spend an hour of your day checking it out.

I think it’s quite a different experience reading it both ways. On one hand, it’s really interesting being able to see the story evolve and try and guess where it’s going but on the other, it’s nice being able to just get in there and read it all from start to finish as the creator intended.
I’m really liking the way this one has started though.

Hey, I’m a big fan of Derek Kim’s work, too. Admittedly, I got onto Same Difference pretty late and just read the entire comic online when he had already finished it.
