Trash? Treasure?

I was wandering home from school the other day, when I spotted a black box in the communal trash area of another apartment. The Japanese seem to have an almost pathological hatred for stuff that isn’t brand new and you regularly see quite new TVs and videos just dumped in the trash because their owners upgraded to the latest model. Anyway, I managed to score a Technics amp that’s now happily powering my turntable and CD player for absolutely nothing. Sweet.
