Fun with swords

I’ve talked about the 47 Ronin Party before, so I’ll spare you the details (hit up that previous link if you’re interested.) Suffice to say, we all drunk a lot and a stack of fun was had by all. About 25 people turned up and it was great to see that everyone had made an effort and dressed up. Some really great costumes on show, particularly Kanako’s full-on authentic layered kimono getup and Nick’s very impressive wig (complete with “I’ll do anything!” headband). We got some absolutely pricless expressions from locals as we wandered between bars en mass. Team De Gozaru (Carla, Tom, Nick, Kanako, Keiko and myself) fought to the very end before we nobly took our own lives over final drinks.
